Background
Christine received her Masters degree in Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in 1996. She completed tracks in both Community Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. She first worked in Community Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Domestic Violence, then expanded her expertise in trauma symptom treatment and completed both level I and II EMDR training. She believes that unprocessed frightening events are contributors in later life to struggles with stress and mental health. Christine continued to pursue her work later in Texas as a Clinical Lead, LPC-S, on a team that specialized in both mental and physical co-morbidities. Her last position prior to joining OptiMindHealth was in Florida, where she ran a FACT Team as a LMHC for the severely mentally ill. Now she brings a broad knowledge and experience base to her patients, and currently works with patients struggling with trauma, anxiety, and depressive symptoms, as well as those struggling with symptoms of other serious conditions.
